Rachel’s art is her emotions and soul laid bare. Rooted in curiosity and intuition, her abstract paintings and wall sculptures explore the interplay of mediums, using fire and other natural elements to transform materials in stunning and untraditional ways.
Rachel’s process is largely unpredictable, primal, and free. Whether layering paint, blending inks, or sculpting and scorching with fire, it excites her to never know precisely where she’ll land.
Materials are her co-creators, guiding her along.
The creative process is intimate, sacred, and healing for Rachel, and she considers it a privilege to share her work with others.
Rachel is a self-taught visual artist working out of her NJ studio in Manufacturers Village—a non-profit organization, collective of 65 artists, and the hub of Garden State Arts Weekend. In past lives, she was a clinical social worker, a TEDx producer, and a curator of multidisciplinary salons for women, all of which inform her art. She lives in the suburbs of New York City with her family, and her small dog, Gunnar.
